Just wanted to quickly update everyone on the pending release of CSP Beta 1.04. We've had some delays in the past week in our closed testing process (mostly due to time constraints involving college graduation), but are still very close to a release-worthy build. We're working as fast as we can given our collective recent time constraints to get the build out as quickly as possible. Please understand that this is hectic time of year for us, and we're doing the best we can. Apologies for the recent several-week gap in updates. It's been a slow period for our staff, as most CSP development team members have been finishing up their University semesters. We're happy to announce, though, that we're getting ready to release CSP Beta 1.04! We'll begin internal testing this upcoming week, with the public release happening in 1-2 weeks' time. We thank you for your patience and dedication to the project.<br />

Bug Fixes/Features to be Included in Beta 1.04:<br />
-Tweaked ladder noises<br />
-You are no longer able to purchase a weapon you already own<br />
-Fixed "disappearing AWP" bug<br />
-Tweaked famas rate of fire<br />
-Tweaked jump penalty<br />
-Added bomb display on radar<br />
-Fixed buy zone disappearance bug<br />
-Fixed bug which caused weapons dropped via player deaths to not have reserve ammo<br />
-Fixed bug which caused 4 damage indicators to appear at once<br />
-Adjusted crosshair behavior to 1.6-style<br />
-Added "attacked a teammate" mm2 notification<br />

        <description><![CDATA[Greetings everyone,<br />

For the past couple of weeks, the development team has been fixing a few gameplay-critical bugs while at the same time improving and polishing the entire CSPromod experience.  In terms of game tweaks, several bomb related bugs have been ironed out (including the infamously incorrect bomb blast damage and radius).  <br />
<br />
We've also devised a jump penalty (i.e. being slowed down when you land from a jump) that will greatly reduce the rampant bunnyhopping in CSPromod, while simultaneously keeping gameplay relatively fast-paced.  So far, our beta testers have reported that the system we've implemented is a good compromise.<br />
<br />
As CSPromod gradually matures into a product that is ready for professional tournament use, it is important that we as developers take the time to refine the visual aspects of the game.  On that note, we've added a CS 1.6 style weapon bob and corrected various issues with muzzleflashes.  Also, the main game menus have been reworked to fix a few miscellaneous binding bugs and to add new options.<br />
<br />
Unfortunately the past two weeks have been a bit hectic with for our modeling and mapping staff, as they are all students going through exams, so there are no updates on that front.  We'll be sure to keep you posted when new updates become available.<br />

With this progress update, we're happy to announce that we've made a lot of headway on the development and mapping side of things. Modeling has advanced as well in the past two weeks, but at a considerably slower rate due to educational obligations for Dreadus and Millenia. Both have been working on their respective obligations (the Leet Krew player model and M4A1 weapon model), but don't have screenshots ready to offer at this point.<br />
<br />
On the development side, we're very happy with our progress over the past few weeks. While the list below may not seem long, arQon and mizzack have poured hours and hours into adjusting crosshair behavior, and we feel that we've now achieved crosshair behavior that is 90-95% identical to what CS players are used to. We also hammered out some other bug fixes, which are detailed below. <br />

On the mapping side of things, Cashed continues to make great strides in his latest update of csp_inferno. Screenshots are posted below. <br />
